Frank Mir Healthy, Ready To Challenge Daniel Cormier

Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir has remained pretty quiet since pulling out of a planned fight in Strikeforce with Daniel Cormier earlier this year. Mir was set to become the first fighter in the UFC to cross-over into Strikeforce before an injury suffered in training.

"Through training, I guess I stepped wrong, kinda had the wrong shoes on I think that day," said Mir, during a recent interview on Fuel TV. "I wasn't going to skip training and ended up slicing my meniscus on my other leg that was the good knee, so I just had to go in and have it pulled out."

Mir said he "feels great now. I'm 100-percent healed." He added that welcoming Cormier to the UFC "would be great."

Cormier is currently set for Strikeforce's last show in January, taking on Dion Staring at Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine.
