Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic took part in NYE Dynamite Hardcore Hustle pro wrestling event which took place before the Yarennoka! event in Japan.

Dana White informed members of media at the UFC 79 post fight press conference that Cro Cop participated in the event with his blessing.
