Dana White: "We're going to do 1.2 million buys"
Dana White: "We're going to do 1.2 million buys"With a sagging economy and lower expendable income, UFC President Dana White still feels that the Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar storyline on Saturday night is more than enough to break their own Pay-Per-View record. While on ESPN’s First Take, White told Michael Kim, “We think that it’s going to be the biggest pay-per-view draw in UFC history.”

The current record for UFC Pay-Per-View buys currently belongs to UFC 66 where Chuck Liddell defeated Tito Ortiz via TKO. That event pulled in a whopping 1,050,000 million Pay-Per-View buys.

Why the confidence in UFC 91 you ask? It’s simple, White feels that the fight is too intriguing for fans to pass on. “It’s a big fight, and obviously the WWE crossover for this fight, a lot of WWE fans are going to tune in to see if their former wrestling champion can win in the real fighting. Vince McMachon might even buy this fight [laughing].” White continued.

One thing is certain though, history will be made on Saturday night as Brock Lesnar attempts to become the UFC Heavyweight champion, if he comes up short then Randy Couture will have another historic win under his belt.
