 The weigh-ins for The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale were held Friday December 12th at The Palms in Las Vegas, NV. All fighters made weight with the exception of Wilson Gouveia who came in four pounds over for his fight against Jason McDonald in the 185lb weight class.
On the advice of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Gouveia was not allowed a second attempt to make weight due to health concerns. However, the contest will still take place as a 189lb catchweight fight. 20% of Gouveias fight purse will now be forfeited to McDonald.
