Georges St. Pierre On B.J. Penn: "I want to take him out."
Georges St. Pierre On B.J. Penn: "I want to take him out."On Jan. 31 UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre will meet B.J Penn at UFC 94, for what will be one of the most highly anticipated match-ups in MMA history.

At stake will be St. Pierre's welterweight title and perhaps the title of the worlds greatest pound-for-pound fighter.

But this isn't the first time the two fighting prodigy's have faced one another.

In March of 2006 the two met at UFC 58 to determine who would get a title shot against then welterweight champion Matt Hughes. St. Pierre took home a very narrow and controversial split decision that night in a fight that easily could have good either way.

This time out, however, St. Pierre doesn't want to leave things to the judges.

“This time, I want to go for the finish,” St. Pierre told Sherdog.com. “I don’t want to go to a decision. I want to take him out.”

Were St. Pierre to get past Penn there is talk that he may face middleweight champion Anderson Silva. But an equally difficult task may be waiting for him within his own division, in Thiago Alves.

“The way he beat Josh Koscheck was very impressive, and it proved he’s a very serious contender for the title,” St. Pierre said. “Right now, I’m focusing on B.J. Penn. When the time [comes to face Alves], I truly believe that I’m a better fighter than he is, but there’s only one way to find out.”
