Monte Cox helps singer Ashley England get her song played at UFC 81
MMA Agent and M-1 Global CEO Monte Cox was sent a demo of Ashley England's song called "Holding Out For A Hero", and apparently he really liked it because England's song will be used for Jeremy Horn's entrance music at UFC 81 this Saturday. England, 17, is a singer from Murfreesboro, TN who still participates in her high school's chamber choir. "Holding Out For A Hero", was originally recorded by Bonnie Tyler but England recorded her own version for her demo.

According to the article:

"Ashley’s mother, Carolina Gallentine, started making phone calls and was able to get Monte Cox, UFC Manager, to listen to the song. Cox loved it and selected the song to debut in the February 2, 2008 UFC Championship program on Pay Per View for Jeremy Horn who is coming out of retirement. This is a big deal for young Ashley."

I have heard this song before, and it's not the type of song that would get me hyped up for a fight but I'm not Jeremy Horn. I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about this story as UFC 81 gets closer.
