The rumored UFC show on July 19 appears to have legs and is likely occur, but don't expect Wanderlei Silva and Brandon Vera to fight one another in the main event.

According to Dave Meltzer, both men were contacted about participating in the event, but talks, which were in the preliminary stages, have ceased and the proposed match has been scrapped as Silva felt he wouldn't have enough time to prepare for Vera.

However, the UFC continues to scramble in order to put together a solid card and an official announcement on the proposed card is expected tomorrow.
