AFL Director of Public Relations Sean McClure today confirmed that the organization is close to an official event announcement.

"We've determined a date, and a location is being finalized," McClure said. "We'll announce the details very soon."

Although the show was initially slated for October, it looks as though November is the soonest realistic date for the event being that the UFC, EliteXC, Affliction, and Adrenaline MMA will all be holding big shows in the month of October.

The AFL will pull out their biggest guns with Lashley, LaRosa, UFC veteran and AFL lightweight champ Diego Saraiva, welterweight champ Brent Weedman, middleweight champ George Lockhardt all being confirmed for the card. Also, former UFC vet and "TUF" alum Dan Christison may be added.
