Fight #4:

-Heath Herring vs. Cheick Kongo

Round 1:

The round begins with Herring rushing over and rocking Kongo. Kongo momentarily looks lost. Herring gets Kongo against the cage, Kongo muscles out and takes Herring down. Herring gives Kongo his back. Both fighters are back at their feat. Herring connects with a kick, fires another one which Kongo catches to take Herring down. Herring positions himself to get ontop of Kongo, good grapping by Herring. Kongo muscles his way back up, Kongo takes Herring down and gets full mount against the cage. Kongo fires off several body shots to Herring's body. erring explodes out and gets underhooks on Kongo. As Herring takes Kongo down, Kongo reverses and gets mount. Kongo goes north south. Round is over.

Round 1 over. Great action packed round. I give it 10-9 Kongo as Kongo usually had dominant position, kudos to Herring for getting out of some bad positions.

Round 2:

Herring rushes Kongo again in the opening moments of Round 2. Kongo's strength gets the better of Heath in the scramble. Kongo in Herring's half guard landing shots on Herring. Herring lands a vicious upkick to Kongo's head. Both fighters get stood up. Herring presses the action again. Kongo pins Herring against the cage and takes Herring down. Kongo gets Herring's back. Herring reverses and gets ontop of Kongo, good body shots by Herring. Herring with several hard knees to Kongo's body. Kongo not doing anything to changes position as the clock tickets to the closing seconds of the round.

Round 2 over. I give it 10-9 Herring as Herring dominated Kongo with several painful looking knees to Kongo's body. Great heart by Herring.

Round 3:

Herring looks ready to explode and knocks Kongo f down. Scramble ends with Kongo ontop of Herring. Both fighters up. Kongo takes Herring down again Heath grabs Kongo's leg. Heath takes Kongo down and gets into side control. Kongo pushing off the leg, trying to get back up. Herring with ground and pound, more knees as Herring positions to North-South. Heath is in control. Kongo tries to get back up but Herring stuffs the attempt. More knees to the body by Herring. Kongo is going to be sore tomorrow morning. 30 seconds remain and Herring transitions to full mount. Kongo tries to buck to no effect.

Round 3 is over. I have it 10-9 Herring as Herring pressed the action and dominated Kongo on the ground with more painful knees and ground and pound.
