 After his knockout loss to Quinton Jackson at UFC 92, it was a forgone conclusion that Wanderlei Silva would step down to 185-lbs. to see if he could continue as a legitimate top-tier fighter at this stage of his career.
Silva's fine with fighting at middleweight but is Dana White and Joe Silva?
"I see what (UFC president) Dana (White) wants. What he wants (me) to fight, no problem. I talk with (UFC matchmaker) Joe Silva and... say no problem, I'm down for 185? He say, no problem." Silva told MMAWeekly.
We have yet to hear anything from the UFC front regarding Silva's 20-lbs. drop but from what Silva says, July will most likely be the date for his return to the Octagon.
