Shane Carwin Out 6-8 Weeks Due To UFC 96 Injury
Shane Carwin Out 6-8 Weeks Due To UFC 96 InjuryFast rising heavyweight Shane Carwin is expected to miss 6-8 weeks of training as he recovers from a broken nose suffered in his impressive Knockout victory over Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 96. Carwin was also diagnosed with a deviated septum that will require surgery.

Shane Carwin holds an undefeated 11-0 MMA record, with the last 3 wins taking place in the UFC. Carwin defeated Christian Wellisch in his UFC debut at UFC 84, then Neil Wain at UFC 89 and of course the aforementioned Gabe Gonzaga at last weekend’s UFC 96.

With the win over Gonzaga, Carwin moved into the top tier of the UFC’s heavyweight division and expect a future title shot for Carwin if he keeps winning.
