Fedor Emelianenko And Brock Lesnar Caught In Cross Fire Of UFC - Strikeforce Rivalry
Fedor Emelianenko And Brock Lesnar Caught In Cross Fire Of UFC - Strikeforce Rivalry As the dust settles with last week's acquisition of Fedor Emelianenko by Strikeforce, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker noted how happy he was by their latest signing, while the UFC and M1-Global have attacked the other organization's top heavyweight star.

“I feel like I’ve won the lottery!” stated Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker of his new acquisition. “I look forward to putting some on big shows with Fedor.”

Fedor says he also looks forward to fighting with Strikeforce, and is eager to find out who his next opponent is. He went on to say he would “like to progress MMA and earn some money and can do both with Strikeforce.”

One opponent Fedor won’t be facing anytime soon is UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. Fedor’s manager, Vadim Finkelchtein, stated that he wasn’t impressed by Lesnar, and called him a product of “the great hype machine.”

Meanwhile, UFC President Dana White stated that fear is keeping Fedor away from the UFC. White has said that Fedor is “ducking” the best fighters by not signing on with the organization. Fedor has refuted that statement, noting that his last two fights were against difficult opponents.

As for Fedor’s next opponent .. . Strikeforce and M-1 Global plan to debut “The Last Emporer” this fall against a yet-unnamed fighter.
