He started his career in the UFC as a contestant on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. Now, Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez has successfully made a name for himself, and recently inked an eight-fight contract with the UFC.
The former welterweight contender boasts an impressive record in the UFC since emerging as the middleweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter. Sanchez has successfully beaten top ranked fighters including Kenny Florian, Nick Diaz, and most recently Clay Guida. The New Mexico native is next scheduled to take on BJ Penn for the UFC Lightweight Championship at UFC 107.
UFC 107 will likely be taking place inside the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee on December 12.
