- UFC president Dana White told MMAjunkie.com that the WEC will take the UFC's spot in holding an event in Columbus, OH during the Arnold Sports Festival. White noted that he wasn't sure if the show was officially booked yet, but if it takes place, it would be the WEC's first event to take place in Ohio. Next year's Arnold Sports Festival will take place from March 5-7.
- MMAJunkie.com is also reporting that heavyweight Paul Buentello (27-10) is returning to the UFC, and will face rising undefeated heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee (5-0) at UFC 107 on December 12th. According to the report, the bout has been agreed to verbally and bout agreements are close to being finalized. Buentello last fought at Affliction: Day of Reckoning last January, where he defeated Kirill Sidelnikov via TKO in the third round.

- UFC President lost a $10,000 bet to Chuck Liddell for Liddell weighing under 215 pounds last week. White had bet that Liddell wouldn't be able to make that weight after "The Iceman" weighed 238 pounds last month. Liddell had since been training with professional dancer Anna Trebunskaya for his stint on Dancing with the Stars, which premiered tonight on ABC.
