- The UFC 103 televised preliminary bouts drew a 1.0 rating and 1.4 million viewers. Spike TV announced that the show did a 1.5 rating in the coveted 18-to-34 year old male demo, and was the number two ranked program for that demographic for the timeslot, behind an NCAA college football game between Texas University and Texas Tech on ABC. The special was created to counter-program the Mayweather-Marquez boxing PPV airing that evening, and UFC President Dana White has stated that they are unsure if they will do it again.
- Spike TV announced yesterday that they are creating an online web series called The Ultimate Fighter: The Aftermath. The show, hosted by TUF season-seven winner Amir Sadollah, gives fans the opportunity to to pose their questions about “The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights” directly to the fighters involved. The show will air on Spike.com Mondays throughout this season.

- MMAJunkie.com is reporting that lightweight Danny Castillo (8-1) will face Alex Karalexis (10-4) at WEC 44 on November 18th. Castillo is coming off of three victories, including his most recent first-round victory over Ricardo Lamas at WEC 42 in August. Karalexis is coming off a victory as well, having defeated Greg McIntyre via TKO at WEC 39.
