Forrest Griffin Would Do 'Everything Differently' If He Were To Fight Anderson Silva Again
Forrest Griffin Would Do 'Everything Differently' If He Were To Fight Anderson Silva Again As reported last week, Forrest Griffin will fill in for the injured Mark Coleman to face Tito Ortiz at UFC 106. The two had met before at UFC 59 in April of 2006, a bout that Ortiz won via split decision. The bout will be Griffin's first since suffering a first-round knockout loss at UFC 101 in August to UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion recently told told Ariel Helwani of MMAFanHouse that if he could turn back time, he would of done “everything differently" in his fight with Silva.

“I'm not really sure I showed up to fight him,” Griffin said. “Maybe I thought he was so good that I didn't have to fight him.”

But it was his post-fight behavior that drew criticism from many fans. After his loss to Silva, Griffin immediately left the octagon and bolted to the back. Griffin said that all of the hoopla surrounding his decision to immediately leave the cage is “dumb.”

“I mean, I don't think the losers were going to speak that night anyway, you know. Just get on with the next fight already.”

UFC 106: Lesnar vs. Carwin takes place live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev on Saturday, Nov. 21. The event is headlined by a UFC heavyweight title defense by Brock Lesnar against Shane Carwin.
