Anderson Silva Feels That Lyoto Machida Won All Five Rounds
Anderson Silva Feels That Lyoto Machida Won All Five Rounds Despite Lyoto Machida defeating Mauricio "Shogun" Rua via unanimous decision at UFC 104 last night, most of the MMA world feels that Shogun should be the new light heavyweight champion. Not surprisingly, Anderson's Silva - Machida's training partner, feels that Machida won the fight.

"Lyoto fought well, was very well trained. It was a hard fought struggle," Silva told Tatame.com.br. "Shogun fought at his pace very well, was very well prepared, is very experienced, but the technique was superior and Lyoto won resoundingly."

Silva stated that after the fight, he and Machida are going to be working on fixing the things he did wrong and work on them for the rematch.

"Now it is back home and see what he has supposedly wrong to the next," he said. "This struggle is passed, does not matter anymore, he is the champion, a great person, a great athlete."

Silva went on to note that he thought Machida won all five rounds of his bout with Shogun, putting him in a very small minority.

"In my opinion, Lyoto won all rounds," he stated. "Shogun drew a good strategy to attack the legs, but it was not enough."
