Prior to Almeida’s injury, Alves was set to take on Paulo Thiago on this same December 12th card. No word on whether the UFC intends to find Fitch another replacement, or they can reschedule this highly anticipated rematch after Alves his fully recouped.

UFC 107 will be taking place inside the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee on December 12th. The event is headlined by UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn defending his title against number one contender Diego Sanchez.
