-- Fanhouse.com has an interesting article rebutting some of the conspiracy theories circling out there that Brock Lesnar withdrew from his UFC 106 fight with Shane Carwin because he mistimed a cycle and backed out before having to submit a drug test. The article notes that Nevada has random drug testing, so they could have tested him at any time during his camp. It noted that he would have needed to be clean for his entire camp and since the proposed reschedule date is in Nevada, he could still be tested tomorrow if the NSAC desired. -- Last Wednesday's episode of The Ultimate Fighter garnered a 1.9 rating and 2.5 million viewers, making it the highest-rated cable program that night for its timeslot. UFC should be happy with that rating, as the show was up against the World Series and the show has been staying strong over the past few weeks, despite not being centered around Kimbo Slice. Still, the episode is the lowest rated of this season, and down from the 2.8 million viewers it drew last week.
-- Speaking of The Ultimate Fighter, MMAJunkie.com is reporting that former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Bobby Southworth (who had a stint on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter) and UFC veterans Nick Thompson and Logan Clark were amongst the 300 fighters trying out for season 11 of the show. The tryouts took place this past Monday in Los Angeles, and the final cast will be determined in the next few weeks. The season premieres next April on SpikeTV, and will feature middleweights and light heavyweights.
