Todd Duffee Out of UFC 107 Battle with Paul Buentello
Todd Duffee Out of UFC 107 Battle with Paul Buentello Up-and-coming heavyweight Todd Duffee has pulled out of his UFC 107 bout against Paul Buentello. The 23-year-old would not disclose what injury was keeping him out of the December 12th event, but stated it was something he had to do.

“(Withdrawing) was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make,” Duffee told Sherdog.com on Tuesday evening.

Duffee was last seen setting the UFC knockout record against Tim Hague at UFC 102, where it took the him all of seven seconds to put Hague to sleep.

Although Duffee’s MMA game is still pretty green, his sheer size, athletic ability and striking can make him a legit threat to the heavyweight crown one day, however it looks like that day isn’t going to come for a little while.

“It was a fight I was really looking forward to,” a disappointed Buentello told the website. “We really matched up well.”

He added that Mike Russow and Stefan Struve have been presented as potential replacements for Duffee.

Buentello will be ending his four-year Octagon hiatus as he enters the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. His only losses have come at the hands of former UFC champ Andrei Arlovski and current Strikeforce title holder Alistair Overeem.
