With UFC 107 just a little over a month away, the organization has confirmed 10 bouts for the December 12th fight card. Lightweight king BJ Penn will headline the pay-per-view broadcast as he will be defending his title against top contender Diego Sanchez.
The only fight still in limbo is the heavyweight contest between Paul Buentello and a yet-to-be announced opponent. The MMA vet was slated to face the up-and-coming Todd Duffee inside the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, however Duffee pulled out of the fight earlier this week due to an undisclosed illness.
It is believed the UFC would prefer to keep Buentello on the card, however it’s possible they could save him for another day.
For now, here are the fighters slated to participate in the event:
Preliminary Bouts:
Kevin Burns vs. T.J. Grant Rousimar Palhares vs. Lucio Linhares Edgar Garcia vs. DaMarques Johnson Ricardo Funch vs. Johny Hendricks Shane Nelson vs. Matt Wiman Alan Belcher vs. Wilson Gouveia
Main Bouts:
Paul Buentello vs. Mike Russow or Stefan Struve Jon Fitch vs. Mike Pierce Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida Cheick Kongo vs. Frank Mir Diego Sanchez vs. BJ Penn (UFC Lightweight Champion)
