A promo for UFC 97 aired. The main bouts are Anderson Silva vs. Thales Leites and Chuck Liddell vs. Shogun Rua.
Gabriel Gonzaga was shown backstage getting ready for his fight.
Matt Hamill vs. Mark Munoz Round 1: Hamill stuffed a takedown attempt early. Hamill peppered Munoz with shots and took Munoz to the ground. They were quickly back up and Hamill kept chasing Munoz while landing scattered shots along the way. Munoz connected with a couple of good right hooks. Hamill landed a huge head kick and knocked him out cold!

Frank Mir was interviewed by Mike Goldberg and confirmed that the fight with Brock Lesnar is off for May. He said he wants the fight to happen on July 11th.
Rashad Evans was then interviewed and it was confirmed that the main event for the May show. If Jardine beats Rampage tonight, Evans will face Lyoto Machida, otherwise he'll face Rampage.
Brock Lesnar was shown at ringside with his wife Rena.
Matt Brown vs. Pete Sell Round 1: Brown landed a couple of kicks early and nailed Sell with a hard right and it looked like the referee called it off. It turned out that he didn't and the fight continued and Brown just worked Sell over with kick and knees. Surprising that the referee hasn't stopped it yet. Matt Brown looked at referee Yves Lavigne wondering why he wasn't stopping it and dropped a couple more punches before Lavigne decided to stop it.

Rampage and Jardine were shown in the back getting ready for their fight.
They are showing the Kendall Grove - Jason Day fight from earlier.
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Shane Carwin Round 1: Carwin pushed forward early and Gonzaga rocked Carwin with two hard rights. Gonzaga took Carwin to the ground and mounted him, but Carwin got up and rocked Gonzaga with a hard right and knocked Gonzaga out! He followed it up with a couple more shots as the referee stopped it. Shane Carwin has arrived!

Rashad Evans was interviewed again and he talked about how Keith Jardine was preparing for this fight.
Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson vs. Keith Jardine Round 1: Both fighters tied up early. Referee Yves Lavigne separated them and Jardine landed a couple of good punches. Jardine kept going for the leg kicks and tied up against the cage again. Rampage caught one of Jardine's kicks and followed up with a couple of punches that seemed to rock Jardine a little and landed another hard right before the round came to a close. 10-9 for Rampage.
