Round 2: Hieron took Taylor down again and got his back. He tried to secure a rear-naked choke, but Taylor was able to break free. Hieron continued to dominate on the ground. Mid-way in the round, they were stood up again. Hieron was able to land a big shot and took Taylor to the ground again, pressing him up against the cage. They were stood up for a second time with under a minute left in the round. Taylor looks spent as the round came to an end. Another 10-9 round for Hieron.
Round 3: Taylor swung wildly and missed early on, and the fight went back to the ground. Hieron tried landing some knees while having Taylor in a front face lock, but Taylor was able to get up to his feet. Taylor was able to take Hieron down and get side control. Hieron was able to wiggle out and get back to his feet. Taylor landed a couple of good shots before being taken down again. With a minute left in the round, they were stood up again. Taylor looks completely gassed at the end of the round. Both men feigned shots as the round came to an end. 10-9 for Hieron. Crowd booed this fight heavily.

MAIN CARD
Gina Carano was shown in the back, and got a massive response from the crowd. Cyborg was shown next, and you would have thought she was Kim Jon Il with the response she got.
Mike Kyle vs. Fabricio Werdum
Round 1: Kyle landed a leg kick early and managed to land some good shots on Werdum before he took Werdum to the ground. Werdum got on top and landed some hard punches, but was almost arm-barred by Kyle in the process. Werdum was able to shift his weight and get on top of Kyle. He secured a guillotine on Kyle, forcing Kyle to submit.

After the fight, Werdum said he was ready to fight anyone.

Strikeforce interim lightweight championship
Gilbert Melendez (c) vs. Mitsuhiro Ishida
Melendez, who is from San Francisco, got a huge home-town welcome from the crowd.
Round 1: Both men traded some hard shots early on. Both fighters were feeling each other out this round, with neither being able to inflict much damage. Ishida was able to take Melendez to the ground late in the round and went for his back, but Melendez was able to power out and take Ishida down. Ishida was able to keep Melendez at bay for the rest of the round. FightLine.com scores the round 10-9 for Ishida.
